The Bharatiya Janata Party national President Sri Amit Shah ji addressed a massive Gaurav Rally in Jind, Haryana, this Sunday. He appealed to the people of the state to cooperate with the BJP to rid Haryana of narrow considerations of caste, nepotism, corruption and sectarianism.
The BJP president said that, after two years of the party’s rule in Haryana, the state appears progressing fast on the path of development. He said that Haryana is a land of the brave, a land of farmers and a land of sportspersons. He said that Haryana has contributed to the country in every field — be it in filling the granaries of the country, securing its borders or bringing Olympic medals. Haryana’s contribution is priceless, he said. Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi ji at the Centre and Chief Minister Sri Manohar Lal Khattar ji in Haryana have ushered in a new era of development, Sri Shah said.
Shri Shah said that it was in Haryana that the Prime Minister had coined the slogan of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao. It is heartening, the BJP president said, to see that Haryana has raised the sex ratio to more than 900 women (for every thousand men) within a year’; this has sent a positive message across the country.
Hitting out at the previous dispensations, Sri Shah said that all past governments of Haryana including the Hudda government had left no stone unturned in looting the state. He said that the Hudda government had gone a step ahead of the then chief minister’s own nepotism to send benefits to the son-in-law of the Congress’s first family in Delhi. The Hudda government gifted the money of farmers and the poor to the Delhi durbar and, when those scandals are getting revealed, the Congress is complaining of vendetta politics, he said. In contrast, Sri Shah said, today no one can accuse the BJP government of Haryana or its chief minister of corruption. He mentioned the recruitment scandal during the previous governments and said that the BJP government has adopted transparent mechanisms to deal with the problem and secure the future of the young people of Haryana.
The Haryana government belongs to every Haryanvi; the BJP government of Haryana will do justice to all without discrimination and will protect the rights of every citizen of the state, Sri Shah said.

He said that there has been no report of scarcity of fertilisers since this government assumed office. Not just that, farmers are also getting fertilisers at cheaper rates, Sri Shah said. He said that Haryana has no dearth of sports talents, adding that the Prime Minister has made a roadmap for better Indian performance at the Olympics so that, in the next event, India gets medals from not one but many Sakshi Maliks.
The BJP president said that the Modi government has initiated programmes like Stand Up India, Start-Up India and Mudra bank loans to provide employment to the youth, and that their results have started showing.
The BJP government at the Centre, Sri Shah said, has allocated more than Rs 30,000 crore to Haryana through the 14th Finance Commission — much higher than the sum allocated by the 13th Finance Commission — to provide impetus to the state’s growth story. He said that, under the BJP government, Haryana is growing at a pace unseen in the last 50 years of its existence.
